Donna Weeldreyer

Hello, I am Donna Weeldreyer, and I am the music teacher for LBJ! I have bachelor's degrees in music education and flute performance and a master's degree in music theory. Primarily a woodwind specialist, I enjoy playing piano and singing. I have performed with the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra as a vocalist, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a flutist/piccoloist, and a solo piccoloist at conferences like SDMEA along with other graduate and undergraduate recitals. I am originally from Iowa and previously taught in Nebraska for three years. I am excited to dive in and grow your child's love for music.

The music program will consist of movement with music, singing, and instrument playing. The program will continue to build content each year. Student will have the opportunity to play various instruments but not limited to recorders, xylophones, ukulele, and percussion music. Fifth graders will have the opportunity to be in our strings program! Other than Mother's Day Tea, which we are still continuing, I am looking forward to having more concerts during the school year. The students will participate in a Christmas Concert for grades 3-5. I am excited to help grow music in our community!
