Course Offerings
LBJ Elementary School – Academic & Enrichment Programs
At LBJ Elementary, every student receives a well-rounded, rigorous, and engaging academic experience. All Kinder–5th grade students participate in the full schedule of core and enrichment courses designed to support academic excellence, creativity, physical wellness, and social-emotional development. In addition, every student receives daily targeted support through our Knights of the Round Table intervention program.

| Reading / English Language Arts | Students develop foundational literacy skills including phonics, fluency, comprehension, writing, and vocabulary through high-quality, TEKS-aligned instruction and daily reading practice. |
| Mathematics | Students build strong numeracy and problem-solving skills using hands-on manipulatives, real-world math applications, and rigorous TEKS-aligned curriculum. |
| Science | Students explore life, earth, and physical sciences through investigations, hands-on exploration, and inquiry-based learning. |
| Science Lab | A dedicated lab experience where students conduct experiments, practice scientific thinking, and deepen their understanding of scientific concepts through STEM-focused learning. |
| Social Studies | Students learn about community, culture, citizenship, geography, economics, and history with a focus on critical thinking and real-world connections. |
| Library Science | Students participate in weekly library lessons that build research skills, digital literacy, love of reading, and responsible media use guided by our certified librarian. |
| Physical Education (P.E.) | Students engage in structured physical activity, teamwork, fitness, and health lessons that build lifelong wellness habits. |

Students learn musical concepts through singing, rhythm, movement, instruments, and performance-based activities. |
Special Programs
Knights of the Round Table (Daily Intervention – 30 Minutes)
All students participate in Knights of the Round Table, LBJ’s structured intervention and enrichment block. Students work in small groups targeting reading, math, and skill-specific needs using data-driven instruction and research-based programs.
Gifted & Talented
LBJ offers advanced enrichment and rigorous academic challenges for identified GT students, including project-based learning, accelerated academic tasks, and creative problem-solving experiences.
Special Academy – Autism Program
Our robust Special Academy provides specialized supports for students with autism, including individualized instruction, communication development, behavior supports, sensory regulation, and inclusive opportunities within the school community.
